- Originally known as the “Best Team Man”, it was renamed from Season 2006 onwards
- Originally awarded to the “Best Team Man” SANFL player (the player who best represented the team’s values throughout the season both on and off the field), it was repurposed from Season 2021 onwards

- Not awarded in 2020 due to the club being banned from the SANFL
