Mark of the Year

 Introduction:

• Awarded in recognition of the best mark taken during the AFLW season
• Currently known as the Virgin Australia Mark of the Year

 Voting:

• After each round, 3 nominations for the Mark of the Week are determined by a panel of football experts
• The public votes for the weekly winner on the AFLW website
• At the end of the season the winner is chosen by the All-Australian selection committee from all nominated marks, whether they won the weekly vote or not
